What if your “WHY” isn’t strong enough?
Everyone talks about the big fat “why” that you’ll need, that gets you out of bed, that gets you going when things get tough – but what if you don’t HAVE a drive to build a multi-million-$-empire to finance villages in Africa, and you’re not sure if your message will change the world?
When I started my business, my why was all around myself – and it was totally away-from motivated.
I didn’t want the office job anymore, I didn’t want to start a whole new career every time I moved countries… I wanted the freedom to travel, but that was about it.
No deep “let me change the world” mission, in fact – I just didn’t think that’s the league I could even play in.
So what kept me going?
How is it that entrepreneurship turned out to be the ONE thing I never dropped the ball on, that I kept going with, that became my strongest why and a huge part of my life’s purpose?
I got really excited about aaaaall the small things that gave me a feeling of impact.
Someone paying me to talk to them on a video call?
Someone quitting their job because of me?
Someone sending me money for a course that I haven’t even created yet?
20 people like a post that I wrote on social media?
Wow Wow Wow!!
I got wowed by everything.
Someone who follows me on Facebook gifted me and Andy a Tony Robbins ticket ($1,000 each). Wow!
It’s been the small (and bigger) moments that made me realise, that there are things possible that I didn’t even dream of, and absolutely had no vision for.
My vision and my why grew AFTER I started this journey. I didn’t one day wake up with the clarity and drive that “this coaching business is going to be my thing”.
Don’t wait for clarity, purpose and your why.
It’s something that doesn’t “come to you”. It’s something you choose to create.
I realised that running a business means I don’t HAVE to find “my one thing”, like I was hunting for “my one dream job” before.
It’s the one thing that stuck in my life because it’s the one thing where I don’t have to stay stuck.
I’ve never actively pivoted, I never ever officially switched from life coaching to business coaching to retreat and event host, I just get to do aaaaall the things I want to try.
I just decided to BE my business.
To be me, and not to expect to label myself.
You’re here because you don’t fit in a box
So stop trying to put yourself in one.
What if nothing was actually missing?
I can be like a 5-year old on an Easter egg hunt when it comes to finding what’s blocking me.
Maybe I haven’t found the right thing yet,
maybe my why isn’t strong enough,
maybe my ideal clients don’t want this,
maybe my message is wrong,
maybe my marketing skills aren’t strong enough.
If you BELIEVE that something is missing or broken or not good enough, you will find blocks and reasons.
The one client that doesn’t get results,
the one person that said something mean,
the one launch that didn’t go as planned…
And I’ve paid $20,000+ to mentors hoping that they would give me the secret, the MISSING PIECE.
What’s the missing pieeeeeece?
What I learned from my high ticket investments wasn’t what I was expecting.
Brennan was so proud of me whilst I thought my business progress sucks.
Em was celebrating wins that I was just brushing off. (“THAT doesn’t count.”)
I thought “they don’t get it, there MUST be something missing!”
But you know what?
I started to look at their beliefs.
Why do they think nothing is missing?
God bless you if you didn’t grow up in a scarcity mindset – where there’s ALWAYS something missing or wrong, even if nothing is actually missing or wrong.
What I learned, is that my mentors aren’t searching for the problem,
for the missing piece,
for a bigger why.
They believe that they are exactly where they should be, and that I am exactly where I’m meant to be.
And that shifted everything – from lack to gratitude and appreciation.
So… I want to ask you…
What if your why IS actually big enough?
What if you ARE consistent enough?
What if you’re exactly where you’re meant to be?
You got this!
And sometimes it’s my job to see this FOR you!
